Interactive workshop for business owners with 2 to 49 employees who have concerns or questions about the employee exposures and problems that the owner of a small business faces and what precautionary should be taken to avoid or prepare for such problems. The topics to be covered will include federal labor laws, 1099 vs. W2 classifications, I9’s, overtime calculations, probationary periods, contesting unemployment claims, employment “at-will”, disciplinary action, employee handbooks, Pre-tax Section 125 Plans and … the new Cobra and Premium Subsidy Notice Requirements. It will cost $25 with 50% off for each additional person. At Pottstown SCORE office, lower level of the New York Plaza Building, 244 High Street, Pottstown. The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce and Play-a-Round Golf want to help you get in the game. Golf professionals Jeff Lockman and Becky Dengler are teaming up to teach you the fundamentals of the game and help you get ready to play. This 8 week clinic is great for beginners or people who would like to get back in the game. Lessons will start promptly at 5:30 PM and conclude at 6:30 PM. Participants are welcome to arrive at 5:00 PM for warm-up and practice.
