Nothing is more fascinating than history captured on film. From the shocking images of tenement housing by Jacob Riis to the realism of Civil War photos by Matthew Brady to the touching and haunting images of Depression-era families by Dorothea Lange, photographs that document moments in time can be seared into our common memories and help us to understand the situations they document. This workshop will look at some of the most famous historical photographs and examine their impact on our understanding of history.
