We are excited to be able to offer SoXperience 2010 on Chincoteague Island, VA, April 10-11. Although our shop on the Island is not completed, we have reserved the conference room at the Island Motor Inn Resort for this event. (They are offering a special rate of $72/night for attendees. Please mention that you will be attending SoXperience when you make your reservation.) We will be able to relax in the comfort of the resort overlooking the Chincoteague Bay, and if weather permits, enjoy the deck adjoining the conference room.Classes in sock knitting for the beginner and intermediate knitter with lots of techniques to expand everyone's knowledge base. Melissa Abbott, our instuctor, has taught at SoXperience many years and will lead us through the ins and outs of sock knitting with her expertise and contagious sense of humor. You won't want to miss her classes!You may register for Saturday or Sunday individually or register for the whole weekend at a discount. (Make your lodging reservations separately at the hotel of your choice.) Your registration includes a folder with patterns and handouts for your particular classes. Beverages (coffee, tea, water) will be available. A refrigerator is available if you would like to bring your lunch. As an added treat the Chincoteague Daffodil Festival will be held the same weekend. Plan on taking it in as well as the Assateague Wildlife Preserve to catch a sighting of the legendary Chincoteague ponies. Take advantage of the off season rates at the Island Motor Inn and other local hotels to make the weekend an unforgetable one!
